Linen

Poland has been, until recently, a major european linen producing country. Polish linen came in its most pure state, unbleached and undyed. Unfortunately, linen production in Poland has been on the decline, which makes this fibre even  more precious. France has been my most recent source of linen fabric, which comes from a few remaining mills in the north of the country

My linen wearable art pieces are often made of natural linen but enhanced by large scale black printed patterns. The pattern designs are my own photographic images which I translate into large screens for printing. Sometimes I use natural dyes (eg. indigo) to enrich the surface of the fabric.
